Since our founding, we have operated our company based on the threefold company credo which inspired our founding: "Quality First, Cost Reduction and R&D Efforts." Furthermore, thanks to our valued customers, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of our founding in April 2009.

Quality First and Cost Reduction capture the basic spirit with which we ensure customer satisfaction. That is, we provide customers with a better product at a lower price, and that is the foundation of our company prosperity. R&D Efforts are the lifeblood of a technology-oriented company, and the driving force for achieving Quality First and Cost Reduction.

We have always conducted technology and product development based on these essential concepts which inspired our founding. In our product business development, we focus primarily on five core business segments – surfactants, Food & Life, polyurethane materials, functional materials and electronic device materials – and we work to expand our product lineup to ensure customer satisfaction. Going forward, we will continue to develop and nurture new businesses, and meet new customer needs.

Our "Change 100 Plan" medium-term management plan, launched in April 2009, aims to improve our company culture, create a climate of intensity, and establish a foundation for the next generation of business expansion. With this "Change 100 Plan," we hope to further improve our corporate value by fostering a profitability mindset and establishing a solid revenue base, and become a company with a strong presence which stays ahead of the times as a leading company for industrial fine chemicals.
