• Synthetic resins (e.g. rubbers & plastics; having excellent properties not found in natural materials) are so widely used and almost indispensable in our daily life
• Plastic materials & additives e.g. Photo-curable monomers & oligomers, flame retardant, antistatic agent, lubricant, anticlouding agent, antioxidant
• Waterborne urethane resins (since 1973) Applications: Wood coating, plastic coating, metal coating, paper coating, film, wood adhesive, paper/fiber binder etc.

Photo-Curable Monomers & Oligomers

The term "radcure" (UV or EB curing) refers to a technology where a photo-curable resin composition (such as paint) is instantaneously dried and cured by irradiating with ultraviolet light (UV) or an electron beam (EB). Radcure technology is widely used in a variety fields as a technology for conserving resources and energy and reducing environmental impact. These uses include: clear paint for building materials and furniture; anticorrosion paint for metals; resist materials for semiconductors, dry films and LCDs etc.; coating agents for mobile phones, optical fibers, plastics and paper etc.; printing inks and plate making materials; and adhesives

Waterborne Urethanes

Today we are seeing the enforcement of environmental laws such as the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act and the Revised Building Standards Act, and increasing regulation of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). As a result products are being developed which do not contain organic substances. Waterborne urethanes are comprised of two basic structures – a soft segment and a hard segment – and since quasi-crystallization occurs in the resin formation process, this material has flexibility, toughness and elasticity, as well as outstanding solvent resistance and adhesion.

Flame Retardant

PYROGUARD is a brominated flame retardant for plastics with outstanding flame retardance. It provides a sufficient flame retardant effect even when added in small quantities. A key advantage is that PYROGUARD results in little loss of the superior features of plastics, such as heat resistance, heat stability, UV stability, workability, mechanical strength, and electrical characteristics. This product meets the need for flame retardance in ever diversifying and more functional plastics.
